Google E-E-A-T SEO guidelines exist to help you create content that’s meant for people. Not search engines. People.
While it’s not a direct ranking factor according to Google’s own documentation, having a website that follows the guidelines does increase your chances of ranking higher in the search results.
E-E-A-T stands for experience, expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness. When you create web content, you should aim to include most or all of those principles in your work.
In this video, you’ll learn what each of those four search guidelines means and gain a better understanding of how you can optimize for them.
Did you know that Google’s guidelines previously did not include experience? Before Google’s E-E-A-T algorithm, we had E-A-T. While the letters may be different, the goal is still the same: build your brand to be one that people trust with their investment.
