Factory Fireglow paint color on the model 57R 1972 Opel Manta A, wearing a professional polyurethane finish. Owned for the past 40 years and being an artist and musician in her heart as well as co-owner of an automotive tuning shop ST, the owner, has very tastefully modified her Opel. With reliability being as important as performance some mods are: 0.040" over bored block, Jahns 10.4 compression pistons, Deves rings, ported big valve head with dual 45mm DCOE Webers. Flywheel has been lightened and an F&S H-D clutch connects the 4-speed transmission. All rotating assemblies have been fine balanced. The rear diff is a 3:64 ratio and all lubricated areas, ie. engine, trany, diff, wheel bearings have been using Redline synthetic oil products since 1990. The suspension is Bilstein with Quickor frt and rear sway bars. The front brake and cooling system have been enlarged and an A/C system makes for comfortable open road cruising. This beautiful Manta was built to be comfortable and reliable driving long distances as well as around town and has even enjoyed the occasional autocross.
