Build notes:
This crusader build focuses on the 4pc grace set bonus, while utilizing continual damage skills and gems that help reach that 5x damage counter sooner and more often. As you can see, I basically run through everything, hitting each target at least once to apply my DoTs (dmg over time), and just keep on going. As they follow me, the DoTs keep on damaging them, counting towards that 5 hits for 4 pc grace set, and then the extra attack from the set bonus finishes them off. Not very high single target damage, but works tremendously well for just overworld farm, rifts, bounties, Accursed Tower, etc making it a very efficient speed farm build.
Gameplay/mechanics
This build is very easy to play. When draw and quarter is available, use it, and keep popping Condemn while you can for more added dmg numbers. When draw and quarter ends, use shield charge for movement and consecration for big aoe dmg. Can use Condemn here as well whenever available. Then back to Draw and Quarter. Rinse and repeat.
As you can see, I am NOT using Holy Banner here, which a lot of players would argue is the bread and butter of a crusader. Reason for this, is so that I can get a more consistent damage output with almost 100% uptime on Draw and Quarter. In place of the staple Arrowkeeper head piece for banner, I am instead using Many-Eyed Aegis which allows consecration to move with me. This is especially helpful once draw and quarter wears off and I have roughly 2 seconds of downtime where I'm not dealing a lot of hits or burning anything. Keep in mind that having this extra continual damage skill means I'm counting more hits on each target to proc the 4pc grace set. Holy banner would make me deal more damage per hit, no doubt, but the skill itself doesn't give any added hits to proc my set bonus, and it can't be active all the time either. In fact, to give banner any extra duration with The Folly of Zakarum shoulders, means I would have to reduce my duration on draw and quarter as well sense it takes the same shoulder slot for Sikvet's Advantage to try and keep the horse up 100%.
The Akarat's Rebuke chest for Condemn makes it a buff to the primary attack that hits the target an additional time and all nearby enemies as well. This serves a dual purpose, to not only count more hits towards 4pc grace set bonus, but also being a buff means it will proc bottled hope more often than can be done with just draw and quarter as the only buff, and lasts longer than other forms of condemn due to any beneficial effect duration. Perhaps the nicest thing about Condemn is that it can be cast while on the horse and it doesn't interrupt or force a dismount either.
Recommended Gems
Blessed Pebble of course to make draw and quarter and all other beneficial effects last longer. It's also a nice easy 1 star gem to get rank10 and make use of an awakened slot.
Everlasting Torment adds yet another DoT to enemies whenever you hit a crit. Doesn't matter if it hits hard or not, it's an additional hit that will help trigger 4pc grace set. Also a 1 star gem that can easily reach rank10 and make use of an awakened slot.
Mothers Lament will boost crit chance to help proc everlasting torment more often.
Seeping Bile is another DoT effect too and can proc on any hit, not just a crit. Also spreads really easily once enemies start dying off.
Gloom Cask is a super strong gem just for the crazy amount of damage it gives off. And sense it's an additional hit each time you use primary attack, which is sped up while on your horse already, this too just deals a ton of dmg and helps proc 4pc grace set even more.
Bottled Hope is nice not only for the dmg multiplier and speed boost, but also for the skill cooldown reduction on its secondary effect (rank3+).
Pain Clasp of course will give you a constant damage boost while everything is burning from Draw and Quarter.
For the last gem slot, can use either fervent fang or blood soaked jade. Fervent reaches its max stacks super quick with all of these DoTs going off, cheaper to rank and potential to get rank10 even for an awakened slot. Its secondary effect also increases dmg to elites which actually makes it stronger than mid lvl BSJ on the blues, yellows, and ancient elites. Jade is just a constant dmg multiplier and speed boost to help movement when not on the horse, which ideally is never with enough cooldown reduction and beneficial effect duration.
