국회 이틀째 국감…'적폐 공방' 격화
It's the second day of the parliamentary audit at the National Assembly -- with 13 standing committees carrying on with their inspection of government bodies in their respective areas.
Tensions are mounting between the rival parties... as they continue to point out the missteps of the former and current governments.
In particular, rival lawmakers are expected to clash at the judiciary committee after the Blue House decided to maintain Kim Yi-su as the acting chief of the Consitutional Court until his term as court justice ends next year,... despite the National Assembly voting down his confirmation.
Rival parties will also likely ramp up their political offensives against each other in other commitees -- where issues such as the ongoing strikes at public broadcasters,... possible amendments to the South Korea-U.S. free trade deal and North Korea's threats will be up for debate.
