How do you negotiate property sales prices? Negotiation is different depending on how you're acquiring the property. There's not much negotiating when you're buying through a private or public auction. You simple set a price you won't go above and that's all you can do.

When a real estate agent is involved, however, there's room for negotiation. But anymore, there's still less negotiation than ever before. The best thing to do in this case is to find motivated sellers. They need rid of the property, so they're more likely to negotiate prices with you!
