A Minneapolis firefighter will take the stand again on Wednesday after telling the court she tried to help Floyd but was stopped by police.
The trial of the former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin accused in the death of George Floyd gets underway, with the state laying out its case. Chauvin faces three charges, second-degree murder, second-degree manslaughter and third-degree murder in the death of George Floyd, who died in police custody in May 2020.
