(26 Nov 2018) Dozens of far-right protesters demonstrated outside the Ukrainian Parliament building in Kiev on Monday, holding banners and flags and lit flares in protest against the Russian seizure of Ukrainian ships off Crimea.
The protest was organised by the National Corps party, which argues President Petro Poroshenko isn't aggressive enough against Russia.
It called on the government to impose martial law.
The group is small but can put significant pressure on the president.
Ukraine's president is demanding that Russia immediately release Ukrainian sailors and ships seized in a standoff in the Black Sea.
Poroshenko said at a meeting of Ukraine's national security council earlier on Monday that "we demand that they are urgently turned over to the Ukrainian side" and called for a "de-escalation" of the crisis around Crimea.
The Ukrainian parliament is set to consider a presidential request for the introduction of martial law later on Monday.
