The new Sony ICF-P27 AM FM Portable Radio now utilizes a DSP. Sony does a fantastic job by bringing an all analog feel with this new technology. During the review I will be comparing it to the older, all analog ICF-P26. Is it time to run out, and buy the older model before it's gone? Possibly.

Features I like about the new Sony P27:
Sensitive on the FM Band.
Clear Audio.
Tunes like an Analog Radio.
Long Run Times.
AA Battery Operation.
Stands Nicely.
Sensitive, and Selective on the AM band.
Decent Headphone Experience.
Tuning, and Battery Life LED Indicators.
Fairly Accurate Dial.
Included Carry Strap.
Features that could be Added, or Improved on:
Lower Noise Floor.
More Selectivity on the FM band would make it a Champ.
Lower the Price to Twenty Dollars.
Overall, if the P26 disappears, you are left with a Capable Portable. I am happy Sony went the extra mile to make this new DSP technology Easy to Listen to.
