You're looking for a proper stop loss strategy? Watch this before you even determine how to set a stop loss. Your stop loss level should be determined by a couple of factors, one of which is the time frame you're trading.

There is no fixed stop loss strategy in this world. It depends on your trading strategy, risk appetite and also your trading personality. The reason why your trades keep getting stopped out can be due to many reasons. If you're dealing with a market maker, you'll be subjecting to stop hunting risks.

However, if you're new to trading and you set your stop loss levels randomly, you can bet that your trading results will be random too. A lot of beginner forex and stocks traders set their stop loss the wrong way, which is why they keep getting stopped out.

Trading at the wrong time will also cause you to be stopped out very often. For instance, if you like to trade around high impact news, chances of you getting stopped out will be higher.

With that said, you also need to take note of stop hunting and price manipulation by market makers, they can manipulate price action in such a way that it entices traders to place their stop losses there. I'll share more about the proper stop loss strategy in this video and also talk about reasons why you keep getting stopped out in trading.
