On January 6th, 2021, a group of protesters occupied the Capitol in Washington D.C. In this video I try to come to terms with what exactly happened, including a timeline of events, how Trump's words would have been interpreted at the Save America Rally, the rioting at the Capitol, and more.

Second, I explore why the attack on the Capitol happened with reference to the people's own words and symbols.

Third, I do my best to explore how we should talk about this event. Was it a protest, a coup, an insurrection, domestic terrorism, something else? How we name this event is the first step in truly understanding it.
