В далеком 70м году компания Ямаха,вдохновленная успехом мотоцикла DT1 250, выпустила более крупную версию - Yamaha RT-1 360.Это универсальный мотоцикл,
как нынче модно называть скремблер ,с одноцилиндровым мотором является самым большим в линейке состоящей из пяти мотоциклов, предназначенных
для езды по пересеченной местности.Хоть RT-1 и никогда не был серьезным мотоциклом для мотокросса открытого класса,он все равно был спроектирован инженерами
так, чтобы гарантировать отсутствие слабых звеньев.Благодаря чему этот байк был очень популярным у настоящих гонщиком начального уровня.После выхода в 70г
за Yamaha RT-1 360 просили 223 000 иен ,что в переводе на рубли по нынешнему курсу примерно 150 тыс.
Сердцем Yamaha RT-1 360,как говорилось ранее ,является одноцилиндровый двухтактный двигатель ,объемом 351сс ,воздушного охлаждения.Он был полностью аналогичен
двигателю младшего брата DT1 250,за исключением конечно же объема,который подняли увеличением диаметра цилиндра с 70 до 80мм ,а также ходом поршня с 64 до 70мм.
Таким образом силовая установка выдает 30 л.с. максимальной мощности и 35 н.м. крутящего момента.За питание отвечает 32мм карбюратор Mikuni.
Двигатель имеет систему раздельной смазки Autolube, при которой масло перекачивается с помощью масляного насоса из бачка во впускной тракт,где перемешивается с
топливно-воздушной смесью для смазки цилиндров.Рама представляет собой прочную стальную трубчатую конструкцию,которая на удивление имеет неплохую жесткость.
Коробка передач 5ти ступенчатая ,причем первые 3 передачи короткие ,что очень удобно на бездорожье,последние 2 длинные для для комфортной езды по асфальту.
