Regardless of whether this was the encore or not, NO song 'needs' to go on for 15+ minutes. I mean, seriously? As you can maybe figure out by some of my other live videos, I'm a Rock guy (have been going to concerts for over 45 years - Yikes!). When I go to a show, I expect the artist to play a lot of their hits, along with some of their new music. That did not happen at this show. I don't think they played more than 4 songs Total off their first 2 CDs (if that), and certainly no more than that off of their 3rd CD. I'm not sure over the course of the entire 100+ minute show that they even played more than 12 songs.
Apparently, much of the crowd was just thrilled for the 'experience' of seeing them live, regardless of whether they played their music, or just randomly jammed (which was seemingly embedded in every song). Maybe they were newer fans, and hadn't been on board with the band since the early years? My friend and I both felt that the concert was more style than substance but agreed we'd probably go see them again to see if they would get back to 'playing their music'! LOL!
