This was the first time James recorded screaming vocals on a Dream Theater record; the other two instances were in Octavarium (song) and Build me Up, Break me Down.

I was able to separate the backing vocals from the track using moises.ai. I then processed the audio to increase the backing vocals' volume and decrease the lead vocals' volume using Audacity. I decided to keep the lead vocals on the track, even though they are quite quiet on the mix, to make the sound a bit fuller. The result isn't perfect, but I would say it's still god.
