This is Excel Function Explained video series and here I will talk about, how to use ROWS function in excel. It falls under the Lookup and Reference function category. The Rows function is used to check how many rows you have inside your selected data range. Using this function, you’ll be able to return row count based on your range.

Let’s learn how to use ROWS formula in excel.
The Function looks like this = ROWS (Array)
This function has one parameter.
1. Array: This is where you provide a cell reference, a range of cell or an array. It will count the total row and show you the result
When you use this function remember, you can either insert a cell, reference or even array.

This is how we use ROWS Function in excel. Remember, using ROWS function in excel you actually tell excel formula to count total rows inside the range we specify
