Australia’s longest-serving breakfast television host David Koch has announced he will be leaving Sunrise after nearly 21 years on the show. The 67-year-old teared up as he announced the news live on-air this morning, explaining “I reckon it’s time to bring through the next generation”.
A 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit the west of Melbourne last night, believed to be the city of Melbourne’s biggest earthquake in 100 years. Residents reported that the quake lasted only a few seconds and shook buildings at around 11:40pm but there have been no reports of damage.

Four people are dead after a high speed car crash in Victoria on Saturday morning. Two males and two females died at the scene when the driver lost control and smashed into a tree 300km west of Melbourne. The fifth passenger on board, a 17-year-old girl and the sole survivor is in a critical condition at Melbourne’s Alfred hospital.
