Francis and the Lights is the musical creation of Francis 'Farewell Starlite,' a pop/r&b venture without any official members outside of Starlite himself. After a string of EP’s from 2007 to 2013, they released their debut album Farewell, Starlite in 2016. A little under a year later, they were signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music. Coinciding with their new deal, Francis and the Lights released a remix of their album track “May I Have This Dance,” now with a verse from Chance The Rapper. The song immediately took off, logging over 12 million streams on Spotify and 5.9 million views on its accompanying YouTube video. “May I Have This Dance (Remix)” is Francis trying to make things right with a lover through music, and sharing his vulnerability in the process.
