The long-awaited successor to the a7S II has finally arrived 5 years after its initial release. The Sony a7S III (or #a7S3) has had a lot of hype built up around it, it's predecessors were the innovative force that put Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras on the forefront of the mirrorless video revolution. With all that pressure, Sony somehow not only met expectations but crushed them with the #a7SIII. Long-awaited features like 4K60fps, 4K120fps, 1080p240fps, as well as a 10-bit 4:2:2 color depth, has been on the minds of many fans for years now. But not only that, but the Sony a7S III also delivered 16-bit ProRes RAW output, something previously only seen in Sony's lineup with the FX9. On top of everything else, Sony also addressed feature requests that fans have been seeking for years like a fully articulating LCD monitor, updated menus, and touch-screen functionality. The retail price for this incredible camera? $3,500. And you know I pre-ordered the moment it went online.
