The duo of Elvis Andrus and Andrew Benintendi put the White Sox on the board in the first inning. Elvis Andrus lead off the game with a double hit to deep center field. Andrew Benintendi hit a line drive to left field to score Andrus.
Jesse Scholtens had a solid performance on the bump, with 5 strikeouts over 3.0 innings pitched. Pitchers Bryan Shaw and Franklin German each contributed a scoreless inning of pitching.
Oscar Colás contributed a stellar defensive play in the late innings with a diving catch in center field.
