Never actually played the arcade game version, but just like Ikari Warrior, Ikari 3 and Guerrilla War, it used the special 8 way rotary joystick so you could easily strafe while running. The music is indeed the same as used in the Amstrad version of Guerilla War but both are games by Imagine in 1988, wonder what game borrowed from the other. Great tune anyways. A bit of a shame about the loading screen. The game itself is a bit on the "gray" side, and i recall being disapointed back in the day, because its no where close to the clashy Ikari Warriors. No tanks in this game and it would have been a welcome addidion. You quickly learn that the way to go is with the "space mega gun" (or whatever its called) and the red grenades as they are more powerfull. You have unlimited ammo of everything .. unless you pick up the "handgun" that seem to be able to run out of bullets (major bug or what?). Enemies do seem to be a bit more intelligent than the Ikari Warriors ones (but not much). Bosses are pretty easy as well and there is no difference from the first to the last one. Gameplay is pretty ok once you get used to it all.
