The Indonesia Stock Exchange is one of 3 institutions that are members of the Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO) as regulators that are authorized to apply rules in the capital market industry. SRO has the power to establish binding rules and regulations for capital market participants as part of its supervisory function to prevent forbidden trading practices. IDX is also a provider of various forms of capital market infrastructure that encompass things like listing systems, trading systems and regulations. As the provider of these things, IDX has the authority to supervise these forms of infrastructure. The listing and trading referred in the previous paragraph are all securities in the capital market, ranging from stocks, corporate bonds, government bonds, Collective Investment Contracts (KIK), Asset-Backed Securities (EBA), and other types of assets traded on the exchange.
