This video is about to go sideways.... but in a totally good way! Paul Levy, chief of the Brownells product acquisition team, has the new side-folding stocks from Midwest Industries to show us. They'll install on any firearm with a Picatinny attachment point (or adapter) at the rear of the receiver, like a Sig MCX or the pistol he's holding that's built with a Brownells BRN-180™ upper and a BRN-180M™ lower. These stocks / braces fold to the left side of the receiver, and while they may look spindly, they are solid-built entirely from aluminum. When you lock one open, it is rigid - not a hint of wobble! You can get complete assemblies, ready to attach to the firearm, OR buy individual components, mix and match, and customize your installation. There are also models with an AR-15 receiver extension (buffer tube), which opens up the whole universe of AR stocks and braces for your rifle / pistol / SBR. Since these guns don't actually have buffers, the inside of the tube is now a handy storage compartment. You can even get just get the adapters and supply your own buffer tubes and other components. If you live in a place that has banned folding stocks or just don't need the folding capability, fixed, non-folding models are also available. So it's time to decide: Do you know when to hold and when to fold?
