The data from the second iteration of the Research Administration as a Profession (RAAAP-2) survey has just been published. We’ll present some of the high-level findings from the 1,419 U.S. respondents. We’ll then move on to a description of the next iteration of the survey, imaginatively entitled RAAAP-3. RAAAP-3 focuses on How I Became a Research Manager and Administrator (HIBARMA), and we’ll be looking into what we did before becoming RMAs, and what led us into our profession. Assuming everything goes to plan, the RAAAP-3 HIBARMA survey will just have been launched and we’ll walk you through how to access it and of course thank-you in advance for completing it and contributing to this important longitudinal dataset!
