There are times where you might need to manage a domain joined Hyper-V server from a non-domain joined client, such as in a home lab or in a test environment. Sadly, it isn't a simple as launching the Hyper-V Manager on your client and connecting to your host. Thankfully, it isn't all that complicated either. You just need to take a few steps in the right order in order to make the to systems communicate.

In this video, David will demonstrate how to configure a Window 10 client to connect to Hyper-V Server 2019. He will be using Enable-PSRemoting, Enable-WSManCredSSP, cmdkey.exe, and a few other PowerShell cmdlets to complete the configuration.

Prerequisites include:
Client
- Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise
- Hyper-V Manager Installed
- Windows PowerShell 5.1
- Hyper-V PowerShell Module

Server
- Hyper-V Server 2019
