China-made trains arrived in Indonesia for Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rails on Friday after 11 days of sea trip from eastern China's Qingdao port.
Those include electric passenger trains and inspection trains.
After being unloaded, the carriages will be transported to Bandung, one of the terminals of Indonesia’s 142km high-speed rails, the country’ first.
The construction of Jakarta-Bandung rails are now on schedule, which is expected to conduct test runs during November’s G20 Summit.
Some 13,000 Indonesians have been employed to work at the site and the railway is expected to create 30,000 jobs after completion.
The trains for Indonesia’s first high-speed railway are featured with the latest techs of China’s Fuxing bullet trains.
With a designed speed of 350 km per hour the Jakarta-Bandun railway will cut the journey from over 3 hours to around 40 minutes.
It links the country's capital Jakarta and the fourth largest city Bandung in West Java province.
