I'm so happy. I was able to solve a big issue that I solved with the Keystep Pro and finally I can jam the way I want.
But let's start at the beginning.
I've always wanted the ARTURIA Beatstep Pro, but somehow I couldn't bring myself to do it. Ultimately, it would only have been about the Volca Sample and the investment was too high for me. I was all the more happy about the gift from ARTURIA, the Keystep Pro. But what was my disappointment when I found out that the drum session does NOT work like the Beatstep Pro, but only uses one MIDI channel.
Now one or the other says: What the heck, the Volca Sample 2 can do it. It's correct. But there may be musicians who don't want to buy a new Volca sample just because of that. And I now have the solution for that: MIDI routing.
There are various ways to route MIDI signals, I used the MIDIHUB here because it's the easiest way.
All incoming signals come from the DRUM track on MIDI channel 10 and are then routed from MIDI 1 to MIDI 10 and from C4 to A4. This makes it possible to use the original volca sample at the keystep as well.
The file for the MIDIHUB can be found here:

Most of the Time I am using the Specular Reverb v3 for my jams.
Sometimes the NTS-1 with the Cathedral Preset or just the iPad.
Using Volca Sample with Keystep Pro is possible!
