오랫동안 곡을 쓰지 못하던 때가 있었어요
길을 잃어버린 채 그대로 있고 싶은 마음이었죠
언젠가 길을 다시 찾을 거라며 며칠 동안 생각에 잠겼습니다
그때 기억났던 건 어린 시절 함께 했던 친구와의 기억이었어요
놀이에 심취한 나머지 다른 동네까지 가서 길을 잃었던 기억,
빨리 어른이 되고 싶어 어른들이 하던 이야기에 귀 기울이던 기억,
친구와 싸우고 울면서 집에 돌아갔던 기억
돌이켜 보면 그때의 시간과 지금의 시간은 다른 듯 비슷합니다
그때의 저와 지금의 저는 많이 다르지 않은 거 같아요
어린 나이에 조급했고 무언가에 휩쓸려 걱정이 많았습니다
그때와 지금의 차이점이라면 마음의 문을 두드리는 일이
그때보다 지금이 몇 배 더 힘들고, 갈수록 어려워지고 있다는 점이죠.
이제는 그 어린 시절의 감정을 되찾지 못할 거 같아요
그 시절의 제 모습과 친구들이 많이 그립습니다

There was a time when I couldn't write songs for a long time.
I wanted to stay lost.
I've been thinking for days that I'll find my way again someday.
What I remembered then was the memory of my childhood friend.
I remember being so absorbed in playing with my friends that I went to another neighborhood and got lost,
listening to what adults said because I wanted to become an adult quickly,
And I remember having a fight with my friend and going back home crying.
Looking back, the time then and the time now are similar as if they were different.
I don't think I'm that different from then.
I was impatient at a young age and worried about something.
The difference between then and now is that knocking on the door of someone's heart is many times harder now than it was then, and it's getting harder.
I don't think I'll be able to regain that childhood feeling anymore.
I want to see my friends and me in those days.
I miss my friends and me in those days.
