How Itachi Joined the Akatsuki! || Naruto Shippuden REACTION: Episode 455, 456. This Naruto Shippuden reaction began with the Uchiha slaughter, and showed how much Itachi didn't want to have to kill everyone (obviously). But not only that, Fugaku revealed to Itachi that he had also obtained the Mangekyou Sharingan, meaning he was plenty strong to try and contest Itachi for his clan. However, Fugaku respectively decided he didn't want to fight his own son to death, and laid his life and everyone else's life to Itachi, Obito, and the Leaf village.
After Itachi slaughtered the Uchiha, he joined the Akatsuki and we are taken deeper into his point of view through history we already know about. BUT Itachi wasn't the last Akatsuki to join, so we also go to see his point of view when recruiting Deidara, Kisame, and Hidan to the Akatsuki, giving us the Akatsuki group we were first introduced to. Also, the famously hilarious scene of Orochimaru trying to attack Itachi from behind was shown again, and the man got clowned on by Itachi every step of the way lmao.
I never really appreciated the Akatsuki as I was watching them the first time throughout Naruto. I think I was use to mindlessly labeling the antagonists the "Bad Guys" and never really gave any of them any thought besides that. I'm going to rewatch Naruto and appreciate the Akatsuki for who they are, not as a labeled enemy. But also looking back, I kind of miss when it was that simple. People had Jutsu that may or may not be stronger than their enemy, and if they had teamwork they had a greater chance to win. That's pretty much lost in this war arc. Don't get me twisted though, this war arc IS AWESOME! It's just a shame they had to keep power scaling up rendering all of the old classmates - and effectively everyone else useless because Naruto and Sasuke are just insane now.
