I really didn't want to spend this much on a jacket, but the last one I was forced to buy ended up being my favorite jacket to wear. So I guess you get what you pay for. I also forgot to mention, Patagonia will repair gear that gets messed up. That was something I found while reading the website. I thought that was pretty cool.
