The use of antiseptics in oral care allows an effective control of the oral pathogenic microbiota and the maintenance of a good oral health. Chlorhexidine and CPC have proven to be major players in this scenario. The knowledge of their mechanism of action together with a precise measurement of their antiseptic activity guides us in the scientific formulation of products. Thus, both antiseptics will be highly effective against a wide variety of pathogenic microorganisms in the oral cavity and possibly also against new threats to our general health.
