We've all heard the word feminism before. But, do you really know what it means? In this speech, Ananya Pinnamaneni, author of Feminism 101: A Guide to Gender Equality and founder of Gender ShEquality, dispels some common misconceptions about feminism. She then dives into the history of feminism before concluding with four steps that need to be taken for gender equality to be achieved. Ananya Pinnamaneni, a freshman at Dougherty Valley High School, has considered herself a feminist for as long as she can remember. She strives to bridge the gender gap in all aspects and spread awareness about gender inequality. Through her speech, she hopes to educate people about what feminism really is and show how everyone has the capability to make a difference. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
