Current Situation: Winds remain from the north with high pressure to the west and low pressure to the east...
Today:
Friday begins with showery rain through southern and western counties but many central, northern and eastern regions are dry. It's a cool start away from the south east where it's warmer.
Through the rest of the day showers will continue in places, though the showers always more likely in the west. Central and eastern regions should have quite a lot of dry weather but later this afternoon more persistent rain will develop through some eastern counties. Quite a lot of cloud again today but with a few bright or sunny spells in places.
Temperatures will be cool or very cool for the time of the year at just 12C to 20C.
Tonight:
Showery rain will push in from the east to much of northern and eastern England, the Midlands and Wales. Some of the showers could be quite heavy in places. Southern England and south Wales will stay dry and much of Scotland and Northern Ireland will have a dry night, though a few showers are possible. Temperatures will be cool at 6C to 12C.
Tomorrow:
The showers should generally ease off though northern and eastern England as well as north Wales and north Midlands could keep some showers going. Elsewhere we'll have more in the way of dry weather but some thundery showers are possible in the south and south west. There will be some bright or sunny spells but also a lot of cloud.
Temperatures will be very cool ranging from 10C to 19C.
Outlook:
Sunday: Heavy showers for England and Wales but dry for Scotland. A little warmer.
Monday: Thunderstorms for parts of England and Wales but warmer and humid.
Tuesday: More showers or longer spells of rain. Cooler again.
