I am a Board Certified, Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist and have been excited to work in this field for the last 25 years. My goal in treating clients is to provide a comprehensive and excellent evaluation, perform and refer for further helpful assessments when indicated, prescribe safe and effective medication when necessary, and explore and pursue other clinically indicated, therapeutic interventions. It is always a priority to collaborate with other treatment providers in order to fully understand and treat my patients successfully.

My particular professional interests are facilitating healthy attachment and connection, promoting healthy cognitive, language, social and emotional development, encouraging optimal learning, problem-solving skills and resilience, processing trauma loss, understanding and channeling anxiety, regulating mood and emotions, and achieving a healthy balance of mind and body. My main professional goal is to promote the emotional and physical health and welfare of each client and family that puts their trust in me. I strive for each client to feel safe, heard, respected, understood, and well cared for. The thing I love most about my job is helping others to experience their best life.

During my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my family and hiking, biking, gardening, laughing, and playing with our dogs Lucy and Waffie. Fun Fact, I was awarded a full-ride college music scholarship to study flute but chose medicine instead.
