To celebrate Super Smash Bros. Melee's 15th Anniversary, I decided to cover the Opening Theme! This track pretty much gave me chills whenever I booted up the good ol' Gamecube with its epic orchestral goodness, and recently I've been noodling around with this song on my Otamatone.
I never thought I could take my Otamatone-playing to the next level.
Shoutout to Masahiro Sakurai for creating this masterpiece of a game that I will never be able to master because... Kirby for life!
(I know, Kirby is pretty garbage in Melee, shhh... it's okay, I'll always have Smash 3DS/WiiU to lean on).
Super special thanks to Peter, aka Soundole. Holy hell, he learned and recorded those beautiful EWI parts in less than a day's notice! Like, literally... yesterday? Yeah. The sweet dulcet tones of the EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) that you hear in this cover is probably what brought the arrangement together as a whole. Seriously, please check out his channels, he covers a variety of music including old-school video game tunes and classical pieces!

It would mean a lot to me and Soundole since this is pretty much the craziest song I've ever covered on an Otamatone, and I also gave him some fast bleep bloops.
Much love :^)
