Welcome to the ultimate trooper class guide for Star Wars: The Old Republic, 2023 Edition! In this SWTOR gameplay tutorial we're doing a complete walkthrough of the trooper class, from the origin story to the various playstyles like vanguard and commando so that you can get the most out of your SWTOR playthrough.
Prior to the Legacy of the Sith expansion, you used to only be able to be a commando or vangaurd if you were playing a trooper in SWTOR, but these days you can now pick styles that used to be locked to other classes, opening up the ability become a gunslinger DPS build, as an example or, as in my case, picking the mercenary option, which used to be locked to the Bounty Hunter storyline on the Sith side.
