Happy last day of Pride Month!! :) 🌈
Here’s my short film/spoken word poem about a personal experience of mine! This film is the hardest film that I’ve worked on in a while so please be kind lol.. obviously this poem is very personal to me so if you have a problem with it I urge you to text me instead of the comments so that anyone else who reads it doesn’t have to be affected by your ignorance 🥰🌈🧚✨
The comments are a safe space to comment about your experiences during pride or anything about feeling different or even just something that makes YOU feel proud!!!
* I am also aware not everyone is fortunate to be born with two eyes, hands and ears!! and by no means am I trying to distract from the BLM movements, don't be shy sign some petitions ;)
Otherwise, I really hope you guys enjoyed the video!! REMEMBER:
TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.
NON-BINARY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.
QUEER RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.
YOU ARE LOVED.
YOU ARE VALID.
HUMAN - By Aoife Rees
Human.
Thats what we all are.
From our smiles, eyes, fingers and feet.
We’re all the same.
So then what is that makes some people good, and some people bad?
Is it who they find love with?
Be it with a man, a woman or anyone?
Or is it defined by something completely out of their control.
Like sexuality or identity.
What makes someone worthy of love and what makes then unworthy?
Is it a three letter word,
Or a two word sentence?
“I’m blank.”
Well here’s a five letter word.
H-U-M-A-N
Because that’s what we all are.
I don’t own the music in the video.
The song is a karaoke version of “we might be dead tomorrow” by SOKO.
If you read all the way down just know I really appreciate you ily :)
