Saying "yes" can be expressed in formal, standard, or informal ways. You should choose which version you'll use depending on who you're saying "yes" and how formal or polite you want to be.
Practice saying this phrase during the pronunciation section to make sure you are comfortable saying it correctly. It'll be useful if you're living in Korea, if you have Korean friends or if you live near a Korean community.
This phrase is the most common way of saying "yes" in Korean. You may hear other people simply saying 응 or 어 (eung or eo), but this is informal and shouldn't be used unless you're speaking to someone younger than you or someone very close to you. Otherwise, stick with the way we will teach you in the video.
