Peoples Democratic Party Chief Mehbooba Mufti on April 5, offered Friday prayers at Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar, J&K. After offering the prayers she addressed the press outside the mosque premises. During the address, she said that the Muslims Community in the country are facing atrocities under present government.
“The Mosques and Madrasas in the entire country are being shut down. Madrasas are being demolished, Muslims are being lynched… The Muslim community is in danger… Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into captivity,” said Mehbooba Mufti


The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
