TL;DW (1:11): Start Slow, Keep It Interesting, Find Your Cardio, and Be Consistent.
These are just a few of my personal tips for anyone who wants to start improving their cardio.
1. Start Slow: If you're unconditioned, and over-motivated, going "all-out" may be a quick way to injury or discouragement. Find a good pace that pushes you, but doesn't leave you gasping for air, or quitting all together.
2. Keep It Interesting: Cardio can be pretty boring, and downright totureous, so distract yourself. I'm sure there's some Zen thing about staying undistracted in the cardio flow zone, but it ain't for me chief. Netflix ain't gonna binge itself.
3. Find Your Cardio: Jogging or "yogging" isn't the only way to get cardio work done. If it's something fun and/or keeps your interest, go for it.
4. Be Consistent: Whatever form of cardio you find works for you, try to do it at least 3x a week.
