Foetal distress during labour is managed by determining the station of the head of the foetus and the dilation of the cervix. If the woman is fully dilated and the head is lower in the pelvis, then forceps or vacuum is the method of delivery. If the cervix is not fully dilated or the station of the head is high then a C-section will be used to deliver the baby. For more information, visit cloudninecare.com
