While every patient is different, this patient has valuable insight when comparing the two IOL's (lens implants): Symfony & Symfony. She has one implant in each eye, is post yag capsulotomy in both eyes, and has what any ophthalmologist would consider a good refractive outcome.
In this video, a patient shares her experience with the Symfony and PanOptix IOL. We compare the quality of vision of each, side by side. She has excellent vision with each eye, but there are pros & cons with each lens. I hope this video is helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section below!
P.S. I don't have a financial interest in the companies that make either of these lenses. Your surgeon should let you know if you are a good candidate for any lens implant. They work great for lots of people, but everyone is different and deserves a custom treatment plan.
For anyone who's not sure what cataract surgery is:
Within a healthy eye is a clear lens. As we become older, that lens becomes cloudy. The cloudy lens is called a Cataract. In cataract surgery, the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens implant.
