Ingredients:
King Fish- 500gm
Chilli powder- 1 1/2 tablespoon
Turmeric powder- 1/4 teaspoon
Crushed pepper- 1 teaspoon
Methi powder- a pinch
Rice flour-1 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste-1/tablespoon
Lemon squeeze,
Chopped coriander leaves-a few
Shallots-4
Salt
Oil
Curry leaves- 4 strings
I have taken 500 g king fish for the fish fry.
Slice the fish as shown.
Wash them with salt and vinegar.
Now prepare the masala for the fry
For that, I have used 1 1/2 tablespoon chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon crushed pepper, a pinch of methi powder, 1 teaspoon rice flour, 1/tablespoon ginger garlic paste, lemon squeeze, a few chopped coriander leaves, salt and 1 tablespoon oil.
Mix these well.
I have added a few sliced shallots as well for added taste.
Mix these again and paste this masala on both sides of the fish.
Marinate this for an hour in the fridge or for half an hour if you are keeping it in the room temperature.
Now it’s time to fry the fish.
Into a pan, add oil.
Leave a few strings of curry leaves in the oil.
Place the fish on top of the curry leaves.
Fry them for about 5-6 minutes in a small flame.
Flip them over and fry the other side of the fish.
The fish fry is ready.
