Often within the Black Community, counselling is seen as something that is frowned upon and therefore ‘not for us’ or ‘not our vibe’. Historically, as a community, we do not look to outsiders for help, as we like to be seen as ‘strong’ and able to handle anything that is put in our path. Having a closed mind to therapeutic services such as counselling can be limiting and therefore leaves people feeling uncomfortable with the idea of using counselling as a tool to help focus our minds and strengthen our vision on all the things that we enjoy and generally take for granted.
We may all reach points in our lives where we may need to search for an outside source to support us physically and mentally in a case of emergency. Mr Counsellor looks at the transient and potentially complicated relationship between a professional service provider and their client. Lines can often be blurred when those involved become too complacent and comfortable with the arrangements. But who is really studying this when the person in need is simply looking for a support system?
Mr Counsellor is readily available to provide a confidential service to meet each and every one of your needs, as long as you know exactly what you are signing up for as his client. He is skilled in his approach and reminds the client that drinking, and partying will not solve the issues at hand. Instead allowing him to take control, providing only the recommended dosage and being your pillar of strength will be the most effective way in helping you as his client to manage. Mr Counsellor- Counsellor by day; Butler by night, ensuring that all servicing requirements of the client are fully met!
