Rutgers students Sarah and Usra Attalah talk about the Muslim Feminists for the Arts Club. The MFA creates artwork highlighting the importance of Islamic feminism and stressing the fact that feminism is and has been a part of the Islamic narrative since its inception. Their artwork is inspired by both feminist teachings and verses from the Qur’an as well as by the stories of influential, historic and modern Muslim female figures.
