In May 2018, I had the chance to play on Nicko McBrain's very own drum kit, at his drum store in Manchester - Nicko McBrain's Drum One!
This kit is THE iconic Sonor Somewhere in Time Tour Kit (1986), which was also used to record Iron Maiden's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album.
I played 3 tracks on the kit: 'The Trooper', 'Where Eagles Dare' and '2 Minutes to Midnight' - 3 of my most favourite Maiden Tracks.
The first 2 were filmed and recorded perfectly fine, but I had some audio difficulties with 2 Minutes to Midnight. After almost 2 years, I decided to revisit the footage and see if I could salvage it, luckily, I did, taking the (not as good) raw audio from my GoPro setup behind the kit. The audio quality is clearly not as good as the other two videos, which you may have already seen, but this was too much of a special moment to not share the video! I hope you still enjoy it!
