"I'll See You In My Dreams" ~ The Pied Pipers w/ Paul Weston & Orchestra (1947) Capitol #495 - The flip side of, "Ok'l Baby Dok'l" -
The Pied Pipers started out as a much larger group when they auditioned for Tommy Dorsey's band in 1939. After being reduced to four with Jo Stafford included, they recorded some very memorable recordings with Dorsey, some backing a young Frank Sinatra. Jo Stafford would eventually go on to be a solo performer in or around 1944 and another great female vocalist was brought in named, June Hutton. June was the younger sister of the attractive female band leader-vocalist, Ina Ray Hutton. The Pied Pipers left Dorsey in late 1942-early 1943 and were eventually signed a recording contract with Johnny Mercer's Capitol Records in Hollywood.
