This video is a recent rated match I had with the Gelgoog Vertex Xanthos on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a support with great mobility, insane stunlock, high damage and even high melee damage. It is held back by huge size with no instant stun resistance along with almost misaligned feeling weapons which easily miss. I didn't have a good time playing it this morning and this was the best match I could get. I hope you enjoy.
Xanthos has a Hi Mega Launcher as its primary weapon with 2850 power (1400x5), 95% heat (100%), 8 seconds cooldown, 30 seconds overheat, 1.5 seconds swap time, 500m range (600m), 10 seconds focus time and 80% stagger value (50%x5). It instant staggers with high damage but has somewhat long swap time so it might be best to start with this weapon in combos.
Its melee weapon is a Beam Naginata with 2600 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and standard melee modifiers. It only has one swing but the MS itself has balancers so abusing its high damage is very much possible and even encouraged when using Xanthos.
Its first sub weapon is a backpack missile pod with 400 power, 8 ammo, 15 seconds reload, 0.33 seconds swap time, 500m range and 20% stagger value. This has low stagger value but insane damage. It can be fired while boosting so it is ideal to use in your own melee combos to absolutely nuke any general.
Its second sub weapon is a beam rifle with 1500 power (2600), 40% heat (90%), 1 second cooldown, 20 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 550m range (650m), 20% stagger value (20%), and 3 seconds focus time. It doesn't stun uncharged but it can be charged while moving to add piercing and instant stagger.
Its third sub weapon is a shoulder mounted beam rifle with 2200 power, 95% heat, 5 seconds cooldown, 12 seconds overheating time, 0.5 seconds swap time, 500m range and 20% stagger value. This instant staggers and has very fast swap time so its ideal to use to extend stunlocks and even close the distance for melee.
Its fourth sub weapon is a beam rifle grenade with 900 power, 1 ammo, 10 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 200m range and 50% stagger value. Power and range are both low but it instant staggers with pretty generous splash so its good to use before entering melee or to stunlock further.
Its last sub weapon is a triple scope with 0 power, 3 ammo, 3 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 750m range and 0% stagger value. This spots the enemy for 30 seconds and comes with the associated 3% damage buff for yourself or allies attacking them.
Its stats and skills are incredible for a support. It has 115 walking speed, 200 boosting speed, 75 thrust and 69 turning speed which means it is the fastest 600 support and can easily keep up with generals. It also has LV2 Forced Injectors to further make use of this high mobility. It has High Performance Balancers which allows it to easily enter melee with its high power naginata. It has LV1 Precision Sniping which adds +30 ranged modifier while scoped in at the cost of +50% cooldown on the affected weapon. It also makes instant staggers heavy stagger if you shoot them while scoped in when they have broken head or legs. It is the only support with access to LV1 Quick Turn. This turns your MS around 180 degrees and grants you full immunity to stun and knockdown while the animation is playing. It can only be activated while boosting though and comes at the cost of 30% more damage taken and 20 thrusters.
Its bulk is quite high with 20k HP, 28 beam and ballistic resistance, 10 melee resistance, LV2 Leg Buffer and LV3 Back Binder buffer. Your huge size makes you easy to shoot but your buffers and high durability makes you hard to take out regardless.
Overall the Xanthos has an undeniably incredible toolkit with four instant staggers, high melee damage and insane mobility. The issue with it is the huge size makes it hard to win shootouts against smaller suits which can much more easily shoot you than you can shoot them. The HML and beam rifle run into the issue of being very low to the ground with small projectile sizes while the shoulder beam rifle runs into the issue of having a wonky shooting angle which can make you miss shots through no fault of your own. I think the suit is definitely strong in many aspects yet flawed at the same time. If you think you can overcome these flaws then it might be worth rolling for, even if just the half off spin. I don't think its taking over the position of any top 3 or even top 5 600 cost support though as it stands.
