There are a handful of steps that you can take in the field that will help you get the most out of your deer, elk, oryx and other big game hides. In this video I take you through my oryx hunt where I take the full body hide for a future rug. We cover everything from skinning tips to hide storage.
In a future video I will go over how I dry and salt hides, so they can be sent directly into the tannery.
