This is the full area music for it's a small world at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World from roughly 1977 until the 2004-05 refurbishment. This 9 & a half minute loop featured a few traditional songs from various parts of the world, as well as one version of it's a small world, which plays a few times throughout the loop. This music was selected by Jack Wagner for Magic Kingdom a few years after opening, and most likely made its debut around 1977. The original 1971-c.1977 Queue music was most likely very short: The first two verses of the isolated 1964 Finale vocals, followed by a repeat of the first verse. Magic Kingdom never had the adult chorus Finale verse until 2005. I know about the pre-1977 queue music from one extremely rare sound film from 1974, courtesy of RetroWDW, so huge thanks to them for uncovering it. That year, the Magic Kingdom loading area was repainted to feature different colors than the original from 1971-1977. The 1977 colors also lasted until 2004. A few small additions after 1977 included pictures of real children at the exit (c.1982-2004), a message from then sponsor Kodak (c.1982-c.1985), color changing fountains near the beginning of the ride (c.1987-2004), and a banner referencing then sponsor Mattel (1992-1999). When Mattel left in 1999, there were actually a few months where the banner stayed exactly the same except for the Mattel text, but by 2000 the current version of the banner with children of the world in a boat had appeared. In 2005, this loading area changed dramatically when this music was removed, and the 1971-2004 Mary Blair design (With 1977 colors & later alterations) was replaced with a smaller recreation of the 1966/current Disneyland façade, with the colors being replaced with white & gold. This music was replaced with the 1966-present area music from Disneyland, which is still used in both parks. The 2005 version does have more kinetic energy, but sadly lacks the fountains from c.1987-2004. I really like the fountains and wish for their return. In 2021, the loading area was repainted from the 2005 white & gold to the current multicoloured scheme. I also love this music and wish that it would return to Magic Kingdom. I wish that Disneyland would have the 1966 version while Magic Kingdom would have this version, because in the case of this area music I like that they changed it between parks, even if I love that they both use the classic 1960's soundtrack inside the actual ride. I hope you enjoy this classic area music!
