The downward dog, or downward-facing dog yoga pose, also know in Sanskrit as adho mukha svanasana, is a very well-known modern yoga asana.
As David of Simple Yoga Classes explains in the video, downward dog is a perfect pose if you are a little short on time.
Downward dog is frequently present in a yoga session as part of a flowing sequence of poses, such as the Salute to the Sun, or Surya Namaskar.
