Here about 2/3’s of the way up Harding Icefield Trail within the Exit Glacier area of Kenai Fjords National Park.
I visited back in late June of 2021 and had terrible weather. In fact, it rained for 3.5 of the 4 days I was in Seward and Kenai Fjords.
This Harding Icefield Trail is the star attraction for Exit Glacier. You can go to “The Toe” of Exit Glacier from the entrance area which is a simple less than 1 mile walk.
If you do Harding Icefield Trail you will be afforded terrific perspectives of Exit Glacier from high above. But unfortunately due to the fog and poor weather Exit Glacier was not viewable during my visit. How disappointing I guess it was not meant to be for me.
But for everyone else out there, including all the tourists and adventurers, I would at least recommend hiking some portion of Harding Icefield Trail and it’s not necessary to make it all the way to the top.
As you can tell this was a difficult trek for me but you can sense by looking into the distance how much beautiful potential there are in these mountains beside Exit Glacier.
